AlaskaTrainLover Posted October 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2018 Hello everyone, I've been learning a lot about the wonderful world of Alaska Trains and have a question .. Alaska Railroad says that they hauled 250,000 passengers on cruise company cars in 2017. I know that McKinley Explorer (Carnival) had at most 100,000 passengers in 2017 and the Wilderness Express cars had at most 60,000 passengers in 2017 so which train are the last 100,000 passengers riding? (The 250,000 doesn't count all of the Alaska Railroad trains like the Denali Star that are accounted for separately) Thanks! :)
Straitlover Posted October 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2018 Does that include the Coastal Classic train between Anchorage and Seward? I would assume they carry a LOT of cruise people over the season.
zqvol Posted October 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2018 HAL has cars, Princess has cars, NCL has cars, pretty much every cruise ship that docks in Seward or Whittier will have a train connection to Anchorage.
