How to incert a link to a thread or web site?

Sorry if this has been asked but there is no search function and 20 pages on this board to read through.  I used to be able to insert a link to a web site or another board using Control C/Control V but it is not working now.  Tried the Insert other media and that did not seem to be it.

I just copied the URL for the Cruise Critic home page using ctrl-C in my browser's address bar and then pasted it here directly into this reply using ctrl-V. Here is what I got. Not sure why you are running into problems.

The first time I tried it it would not save.  Today I managed to post the web site but the link did not work. Maybe the 3rd time is the charm.😁

Yes, it looks like you got it to work this time. The link is there and it works for me.
