Beaches near the Port in Bora Bora and Moorea

Tough to answer for Moorea as there are two different tender locations, one in Cook's Bay the other in Opunupu Bay. There are no 'public' beaches within 2 miles of either one. However, there are a few little spaces here and there where you probably could get away with using. The small strip of land along the water is 'no mans land' but the land slightly in from the beach is usually private unless it is a public beach.

On Bora Bora there usually is a bus that for $5 bucks USD you can ride to Matira Beach.

The Paul Gauguin has their own private beach which is located on a motu, the view is the classic one you see in Bora Bora brochures. The PG has a special tender that is made for beach landings.
