DoubleTree Biscayne Bay condo

I tried searching for information on these forums, but most posts are old.

Has anyone stayed at the DoubleTree Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay lately (in a 2 bedroom condo)?

 

I'm looking for reviews of the condos, not the hotel. Has these been updated or is the hotel run down? I'm searching for a pre-cruise stay of 4 days at a property that has 2 bedrooms (min. 3 beds). Any other suggestions?

I haven't stayed in one but have one booked for March. I have looked at the tripadvisor reviews and it seems that a lot of them have great reviews but others not so much. It sound like some of them have been updated and others not? I'm really not too worried about it, though. I'm sure it will be fine.

I've stayed in a one bedroom previously - very nice and the pool is wonderful!

I don't know which to book, Epic or DoubleTree in Miami.

We are staying two nights and having a nice pool and restaurants inhouse or across street is very important.

It will just be my mom and I.

Epic is $70 less but that is not a factor.  Would you still choose Doubletree?

I'm not familiar with the Epic, but Doubletree will fit your bill - nearby dining (including a pretty good Caribbean option in the lobby) a great pool and some rooms offer a view of the port.  Bayside Market is not too far, but a bit touristy for some.
