Red Hook Ferry or Bus to Sapphire Beach--Doable?

We are planning to visit Sapphire next week, and our ship docks at Havensight.  Can we take a ferry to Sapphire?  Ideally we would take a local bus TO Sapphire and the ferry FROM Sapphire to avoid road traffic.  Is this even possible or a foolish idea?

There isn't a ferry to Sapphire. The only way to get there is by traveling the roads. In fact you can't take a ferry to any beach from Havensight.

does it make sense to cab to Red Hook?  does the ferry leave from there?

• The ferry to St John leaves from Red Hook. Depending on the route to Red Hook you may pass Sapphire.

Moonie: You CAN take a safari to Sapphire, although you have to walk a bit from the road (they won't take you all the way to the beach). You CAN take the safari back, although it doesn't go the route you came in on. The safaris go on a one way, clockwise loop, around the east end. It is easier to take a taxi, which will drop you off at the beach. The ferry from Red Hook goes to St John, not to any St Thomas beaches.
