Dining Reservations/Fees for Children

I usually buy a dining package for specialty dining but that does not appear available for my Christmas cruise.  I am attempting to make reservations for myself, my husband and my 6 year old son. When I go online to make reservations they are charging the adult price for my son. Has anyone successfully gotten around this given he will not be eating off the adult menu while still making reservations in advance? Thank you for your help!

Think you have to pay Adult price now to reserve it, but will get it reduced on board. Sure someone else will verify this after me...

If you click the additional Terms and Conditions link at the bottom when booking dining it explains it in the fine print.

Booking ahead of time you must pay the adult price for everyone.  You get the difference back in OBC once on board, assuming junior does not eat off the regular menu
