SeaWatcher65 Posted November 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2018 Looking for a place to enjoy the beach and grab a couple chairs and umbrella and some good seafood Reduit Beach looks long with resorts and beach restaurants. Any suggestions for a specific area of the beach? Thanks! Will be there November 21.

OCruisers Posted November 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2018 Unfortunately, the beach vendors are EXTREMELY aggressive and make being on the beach not fun. SpinnIker's is a good place to enjoy the bar.

I was hoping to avoid beach vendors and thought that this might be a good option for us. Edited November 25, 2018 by Karysa

Buzz Seafood and Grill Jacques Waterfront Dining Marie’s Fish Shack (south end) Spinnakers is directly beach front, typical "Barefoot" beach bring feel. Excellent fresh grilled fish - there's an off menu fresh fish of rhe days, simply grilled wirh garlic creole seasonings, fries, salad. Delish. Maries fish Shack isn't a restaurant, it's just a grill set-up on one end of the beach. Very casual, good food. Few vendors down that end. There's Hi Tide or Seagrapes at Bay Gardens, next door to Spinnakers. Great ootions there - beach front also. Fewer vendors in front of the hotel. "Extremely aggressive" is a bit of on overkill, especially if you give a firm but polite NO upfront. Leave the door open and of course they're gonna keep trying make a sale. Buzz isn't on the beach, and usually not open for lunch anyways..
SeaWatcher65 Posted November 27, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted November 27, 2018 We ended up skipping Rodney Bay. We hired a driver and went to Caribelle Batik St. Lucia to shop and a few scenic points. Then went to Pigeon Island National Park. The Park was very nice, clean, no vendors. Easy to walk paths to fort ruins and high scenic views. Two beaches near each other, one with Aqua Sports (like scuba). The restaurant Jambes de Bois had great food and drinks but service was very slow.... island time x 10. Overall, a nice day. The clothing items at Caribelle were much less expensive than what was sold at St. Kitts (same name Caribelle Batik, but not the same company). Next time, we will go to the Southern part of St. Lucia which I hear is more beautiful.
