Loyal Buckeye Posted November 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2018 We are taking a cruise out of Baltimore in January on the Pride. Are the Muster Drills done outside? Since the ship doesn't leave until 6:00 I was thinking that it might be pretty chilly standing out on the deck. Does anyone know if they do them outside? emm126 Posted November 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 27, 2018 Hi- I have sailed the Pride twice in February, both times the muster drill was held inside however 1 time I do remember having to go outside to see where our muster station was. We walked out 1 door, past the station and in the next door. That was in 2/16 I don't remember doing that last February. Have a great time! coevan Posted November 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 27, 2018 I have heard Baltimore sailings with a foot of snow on the Lido deck, no thanks
pacruise804 Posted November 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2018 When we sailed in February we were primarily inside, but did have to briefly walk outside as a group to see the actual location. In September everything was outside. It would be a very rare occurrence to have even an inch of snow on the Lido deck, more than 3 inches probably doesn't happen more than once every 5-10 years. A foot of snow in Baltimore would likely cause significant delays getting to the port.
Davey Wavey Posted November 27, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2018 Our cruise on Nov 4 we went to the outside muster location where they had people to tell us to go back inside to the main dining room because of the cold (45 degrees F) weather.
