1025cruise Posted December 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2018 The Texas Alcohol Board charges tax on all alcohol brought in. This is separate from US Customs allowances.
lifes-a-beach Posted December 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2018 When you walk out of the terminal after going through Customs there will be a TABC Agent there asking if you are bringing any liquor or cigarettes. I believe the tax applies to all of what you declare. In other words, I don’t believe there is an allowance before tax. FYI, I have never seen them ask to look in a suitcase or any type of bag or luggage. In other words, if one were to put it in their luggage and forget to declare it I don’t believe anyone would know. If you carry it off in those cardboard carriers the cruise line provides you’re sure to remember that you have it. *wink wink, nudge nudge*
