I’m not sure I am up for the water slide video! But I did just see a video of Bruno (Haven) on a head first slide water recently - love his spirit!

I have to admit, I did go back and skim thru the video. Its so over the top its laughable, looks like he has a lot of sheep following him.

It would be so laughable if it was not real.  Its like a train wreck.  I could not help but to watch the video and a few others I skimmed.   I am upset NCL actually gave them a dinner in the haven after sticking up for Adrian at the meet and greet.  The NCL letter reveal is long but they were so disappointed they did not get compensation.  Compensation should be their middle name.  On another video, it appears they gave up on Carnival because of the way they were treated and Carnival refused to give them compensation.  Then they moved to NCL.

@Laszlo  enjoyed checking our time YouTube channel! 👍🏼  I started one recently (needed somewhere to store the stupid cabin videos that I have been making 🤓). It is clearly not for profit and I am not a high and mighty “media influencer” 🤪😂 There aren’t many there yet, but if you find yourself with a few minutes take a look (I think you may enjoy the “Home to Oahu” one... just a guess... 🙂

I’m Platinum Plus & never received the Haven amenities they received. They clearly think they can bully & shame NCL. They are certainly NOT media. Sadly NCL has givin in to their baloney & gave them a few things. Now they want everything.

I went over and checked out comments on some vlogs past that one and honestly it is statistically impossible that someone stating such strong opinions has only support and no push,back?!? Kind of the same likelihood as pigs flying. It is particularly problematic when those in positions to know better discriminate and show obvious bias... and super sad.

 

One man commented that there should  be security keeping people IN the haven instead of out and the vloggers agreed with that. 😳  I’m actually shocked that NCL would even let them back on any of their ships given some of the aggressive commentary there. And the jealousy, are they not aware how it comes off? I mean these were the men whining (grown men) about not being allowed in the Haven “free” and suddenly they hate anyone who is actually paying for it? The world has gone mad I tell you...

Sorry they are Not the Media. If they want Haven access they need to Pay for a Haven Room just like every other Haven Guest. NCL shouldn't have caved an given them even the one free dinner in the Haven. Hopefully NCL sees this video and reads their letter. Then they can see what Real Scam Artists they are.

I've had the joy of being a Haven guest twice with Adrian as our concierge. I paid for that privilege.

What these two did, and say about Adrian disgusts me. I've never met a person in customer service who is as professional as Adrian.

I agree wholeheartedly! He made our Pacific Coastal so special. I have mobility issues and he was always checking on accessibility for me. I sent him a DM on FB telling him how much support he has on this thread.

Indeed, I have had Adrian as my concierge once (so far), and he is fabulous! 

 

As to the "social media influencers," I am reminded of a "South Park" episode where Cartman becomes a "Yelp" food critic and thinks he's entitled to, well, everything. Of course, he gets his comeuppance at the end of the episode. Now if only those idiots who posted those videos would get theirs.

Makes me want to cruise with Adrian LOL But I understand Omar is also well liked and he will be the Haven Concierge on this voyage. And boy do I need it!

 

 My parents had the cruise bug early and would take us back before it was any fun for children to be on the ship.😳  Well we grew up and they kept cruising and traveling. Once I complained to my mother about not being able to also travel as they did and my mother said “When you are xx years old and have been working hard then you may be able to do this too.” While my brother and I were well loved, my parents made very clear to us that what you get in life is what you work for and that is the only way you get it!  👮🏽‍♂️👨🏼‍🍳👩🏼‍🎓👩🏼‍⚕️👩🏼‍🍳

 

I have lived through the loss of a husband at age 32, the hard slog through 3 degrees, the raising of two stepchildren, and now the care of my now 91-year-old mother through cancer. I work full time and so does my husband (his second career after 30 years serving our country).  Both of us have had decades when we rarely had a vacation because we had so little time .

 

So to those haters in vlog land (who clearly didn’t get the same message from their parents), no one gives us those Haven vacations, we’ve worked for them! And when you are 5X years old and have worked hard and long then you too will be able to also if that is what you choose to do .” 😚

Agree!  The "Girls Screaming on The Free Fall Waterslide " seemed out of character for him and a bit weird.  JMO.  Don't wanna derail thread, but Jim Zim has his opinion on cruising, which does not match up to mine.  It's all personal preference.

I have sailed about 10 times in the Haven. I find that NCL is allowing a lot of non Haven guests in. My last 2 cruises have seemed very crowded and not the experience I used to enjoy. With NCL now raising their prices I have now booked my next cruise with MSC Seaside in the Yacht Club, which is the same principal as the Haven, a ship within a ship . I've been reading the service is outstanding, not to mention their prices are about half of the Haven price. There are many Haven guests that have jumped ship.
