662c Posted January 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2019 Does anyone know what Puerto Vallarta Exclusive Beach Resort Ruby Princess use for this excursion or what beach resort is easy to get to from the cruise port?
Ine Posted January 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2019 Probably Paradise Village in Nuevo Vallarta or one of the large hotels there. No walking distance, even a cab will lasts about 20 minutes or more.
CaboWabo62 Posted February 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2019 (edited) Nuevo Vallarta is walking distance, been almost 10 years since we were there. Hot stone massage and more available, restaurants , pools , and beach access. Edited February 4, 2019 by CaboWabo62

Rare 4cats4me Posted February 23, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2019 We loved Paradise Village. It’s been years, but definitely a nice beach and good buffet lunch.

Since Hyatt is on the southside just outside center it will be (also) about a 20 minutes ride by cab.

PS the ride of about 20 minutes is when the driver takes the road through the tunel. However the more interesting ride along the coast and through town will be about 30 minutes. Maybe he can even stop for a short while near the Malecon and you can have quick look/walk there.

If so...other than negotiating the price any tips of what to look for or avoid?

If so...other than negotiating the price any tips of what to look for or avoid? Yes it is safe. You have more or less 3 options. At the cruiseterminal the cabs that will bring you and charge per person inUS$. Depending how may passengers it may be around $ 10,- per person. I am not sure what they charge if it is just 2 persons. They arenot allowed to drive you from the hotel back to the terminal. Then the regular yellow/white cab, they are outside the terminal on the road near eg. Walmart or supermarket Soriano. Make your price with them before entering. I think they might charge around Pesos 250/300 per ride not per person. A regular cab can hold 3-4 persons. Most of them will acccept US$ but not always at a great rate. Uber will work too. They cannot pickup at the terminal but outside again on the highway etc. That will be cheaper but I think they only accept Pesos. Both the regular cab and Uber can pickup up on the return or talk to the desk in the hotel for that. In case they make a stop at your request enroute the price might be a bit higher of course.
