Current Laundry Price?

What is the current cost per load to wash and dry laundry in the self-service laundromats on board? We will be on the Royal in June. Thank you!

$3 for one wash and $3 for one dryer

The time for how long it takes to wash & dry are posted in the laundry room, so you don't have to hang around.

Detergent & fab. soft. are $1 each from a dispenser (bring your own).

Iron/ironing board are provided and are no cost.

Please forgive me for being the tiniest bit nitpicky but it's now $1.50. 

We've never had any difficulties getting the required tokens in the laundry room itself but I've heard others say they've had better luck buying the tokens from the purser's desk. I suppose the machines in the laundry rooms run out of tokens. Don't really know, hasn't happened to us......yet!

I've actually never bought anything there. Brought my own until we hit Elite and now don't use the laundry room at all except to iron wrinkles.

We use the "free" laundry only for colorfast items that won't shrink. Socks, underwear, etc. I've heard too many horror stories about people's clothes being beat to heck from the harsh wash and dry process used in the ship's laundry. 

 

Shirts, shorts and other things we don't want destroyed we will take to the self-service laundry. The ship "free" stuff makes up the bulk of what we launder so this usually means only one load per week for us to deal with.

We all find a plan that works for our own situations. Life is about choices!

That's the only way to work their laundry system & not get burned, other than using the "cleaning" service which is a littler gentler on most garments.
