Question For Blue Heron

We are staying in the Victoria Park area, a few blocks south of the Gateway Theater. Is this area safe to walk at night?  It looks to be.  Also, know anything about "Shuck & Dive"?  Love that Cajun food.

OMG I LOVE Shuck and Dive!!  Fantastic food! Definitely eat there, mostly locals.

 

Are you staying at The Victoria Park Hotel?  The area is safe but very heavily trafficked.  Beautiful neighborhood.  The problem with walking to Shuck and Dive is that even though it is a straight shot up NE 6th, there are no sidewalks on 6th and a lot of traffic.  Otherwise, I would totally walk down to the beach from there.

No, we are not staying at the Victoria Park, but will check it out  for the future. We will be at an Airbnb a few blocks away.  We will be going to Shuck and Dive for sure.  Thank you very much.

Serafina:  Lovely authentic Italian (Sicilian) restaurant along the Middle River (NE 20th Ave, about 1 block south of Sunrise Blvd)

 

Canyon Southwest Cafe:  Next door to Gateway Theater.  Check out their website for their daily specials.  They have a great daily happy hour from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm and other fun specials during the week.

 

Brgr Stop:  Fantastic Burgers!
