poz222 Posted January 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2019 At the moment, booking port to port trips are difficult for non-Norwegian clients. Since the option for stopping off in ports for extended stays then retaking another ship is a great selling point for many planning trips (especially those wanting extended time for Northern lights viewing or extended visits in Lofoten islands) is Hurtigruten planning to have a portal for foreigners wanting to book this?
Daniel Skjeldam Posted February 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2019 Hi @poz222! In the US, we’re focused more on our expedition cruises to destinations like Antarctica, Iceland, and the Northwest Passage. While cruising along the coast of Norway will certainly always be available, that part of our business is done out of Norway.
hallasm Posted February 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2019 Do you plan yo make Port-to-Port bookings available on other Hurtigruten sites than the Norwegian site?
Daniel Skjeldam Posted February 8, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2019 @hallasm, we recognize there is still high demand for our classic Coastal Norway cruises and Port-to-Port business, and we want to keep our guests happy! While today, our Port-to-Port can be booked by calling our Reservations center, I advise you stay tuned as solutions are in the works for being able to purchase online later this year.
