Arwenmark Posted January 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2006 I have not yet cruised a European route at all and I know that smoking is much more prevalent there, what I am wondering is how the ship smoking rules change if at all? assuming you are cruising Princess, or NCL or some such is it still smoke free dining rooms etc? Or does that change on these other routes?
Rare Keith1010 Posted January 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Our experience is the rules are the same. We have cruised in Eupope with Princess and also in the Caribbean with them as well. There was no difference in the rules. Now, as to the Hotels in Europe, a completely different story to what we are used to in the United States. caviargal Posted January 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2006 I have done 4 Med cruises, 2 with RSSC, one with Star Clippers and one with MSC. The U.S. based lines keep their policies the same, IME. MSC was the worst for smoking and they are an Italian line. Also, the Italians tended to totally ignore the smoking policies and nothing was done.
