port question.. Genoa and others

I am sailing on Meraviglia in April.  Is it possible to just walk off the ship in Genoa and into the city or is the port a distance?  What about Marseille, Valleta and Palermo

The ship dok in the City in Genoa, Valetta and Palermo. In Marseilles you have to Take the MSC shuttle bus or Take a taxi if you are 4, the shuttle bus is around 18 Euro.

In Marseilles, there is also a free port shuttle about a 1 km walk towards the port exit from the ship. Some have reported the queues are lengthy.

Genoa is an easy walk off the ship into town. Valletta the same, we walked to the Barakka lift and then walked down back to the ship since it was packed to go down, lol. We started in Marseille but I think I would just take a taxi or Uber honestly.
