I’m sure these questions have been asked before but i’m having trouble with the search function.  

What brand of toiletries are provided?  Is a bubble bath/bath gel included?

Also, is there a DVD player?  If so, is there a dvd library on board?  

Is it true that the library(books) has been almost eliminated?

Holland America provides Elemis products in their cabins. As I recall that includes shampoo, conditioner, and a bath gel.   DVD players are disappearing from the ships as they replace flat screens during dry docks.  I don’t know if that is 100% done yet.

Yes, the Elemis brand products from the Spa are supplied.  Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower Gel in pump dispensers in the shower and bar soap on the vanity and small bottles of body lotion.  Great products, but they do have a fragrance.   I don't recall about the dvd player as we are hardly ever in our cabin, and I have read in several places the library has been downsized, but on the other hand, they promote Opra's book club.........so a bit of a contradiction!

What ship are you going on, OP?

 

that makes a big difference on if you have “on demand” movies or DVD.

Some of the ships still have the DVD player and DVD’s to rent (free of charge).

And some of those ships still have wonderful libraries.

OK, then you should have the on demand TV with movies and TV shows.

 

toiletries are the same on all the ships.
