My goodness!  So they are.  What a great change.  Of course, the description of the package under the Experiences section of their website lists only fountain soda so it must be new.  Or the cruise planner is wrong...or...who knows with Royal's website. LOL!

Each cup has a unique identifier via an RFID chip in the base.  That identifier times out a certain number of days after it's first use.

When you put the cup in the machine it shows the expiration date.
