My grandsons (4 & 😎 are not into things like the kids club, but you couldn't keep them away on Princess. Same experience with my nephews at about age 6 and 10. The Mediterranean is usually very port intensive, so there is not a lot of time on the ship - except at night to sleep.

I'm considering a summer Mediterranean cruise on Princess with an 8 and 5 year old. I'm not familiar with Princess, and wondering what it's known for, what the vibe is etc. Thanks! It is certainly not a Disney or RCCL vibe. It is more laid backed. Princess is known for Alaska and other interesting itineraries (for the size of the ship), varied entertainment ( in different venues in the ship), reasonable drink prices, reasonable speciality dining prices, nice coffee cafe area, too small of a main theater, and in my DW’s favorite, Fettuccine Alfredo on the everyday menu. Related to kids it would depend on the time of year and the itinerary.
