Docking in San Juan

[put me on a ship]

Does anyone know which dock MSC Seaside goes to in San Juan? Is it the one close to Old San Juan, or the Pan American pier?

It’s the one down town.  At least it was when we were on the Seaside.

  I’ve been to S J  at least a dozen times and never dock at the Pan American pier. 

 The only time I we have used the Pan American pier is when we started a cruise from S J 

  Others might have different experience or it’s used when it’s a busy port day

I agree with Bases, it will be the one in old downtown San Juan.  Great place to get off the ship and walk around or take the free trolley.  We have been to both forts more than once.  Been there so many times though that now we just stay on the ship and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Thanks! We've also been to San Juan several times, but thought if we docked close to Old Town, we would probably get off and walk around a bit. Or not. Seaside looks like an incredible ship, and we may decide to just stay on board.

Sailing in April, Old Town seems to have a lot of nice restaurants, etc...looking forward to an evening there..

Yes the one that's literally over the road from Wallgreens.

Its all very handy to walk straight in to town.

San Juan is a great port as well. Lots of culture, history, etc. The buildings and streets are beautiful. You walk right off the ship into the heart of it all. Have fun!
