Taxi's in Amsterdam

I am planning a trip to Amsterdam. I am in my 70's with a lung condition so I am unable to walk long distances .When I went to Spain I used taxi's a lot but I am concerned that they will not be available in Amsterdam .Is this true ?

why would  they not be available ?

They also have UBER if you use them

The front desk at the hotel called a taxi for us  when we were heading to the port  I am sure they would do the same for sightseeing trips

Taxis in Amsterdam are expensive.. Uber often a bit cheaper, but certainly still not cheap!

Then you will have no problem. You might consider a guide with a car if you want a city tour. Cabdrivers are not a real guide.
