Sailor_Sally Posted February 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2019 I am planning a trip to Amsterdam. I am in my 70's with a lung condition so I am unable to walk long distances .When I went to Spain I used taxi's a lot but I am concerned that they will not be available in Amsterdam .Is this true ? Rare LHT28 Posted February 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2019 why would they not be available ? They also have UBER if you use them The front desk at the hotel called a taxi for us when we were heading to the port I am sure they would do the same for sightseeing trips
Ine Posted February 5, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) Taxis in Amsterdam are expensive.. Uber often a bit cheaper, but certainly still not cheap! Edited February 5, 2019 by Ine
Sailor_Sally Posted February 5, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted February 5, 2019 I am not really concerned about the price just the availability .

You might consider a guide with a car if you want a city tour. Cabdrivers are not a real guide. https://www.amsterdamcitytours.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIh-awweSl4AIVgz9pCh1lQQf-EAAYBCAAEgKcSPD_BwE
