QE deck 5 forward observation deck

Does anyone know when typically this deck is open to passengers?

I think it may be for Panama Canal transits, but I have not heard of it being open for anything else.

We have been on QV when it has been open. The two journies were Panama Canal (as Lanky Lad said) and the other was going into and leaving Instanbul. Both great trips.

It has been open when arriving into Sydney Australia.  Wonderful experience coming in through the heads at dawn.

It's normally a crew deck (you can see the small pool). On QV we were given access during a Panama Canal transit (the lower, forward deck remained limited to crew access).

 

I'd imagine it will be open for passengers when QE visits the Alaska glaciers.

It is also open for the Suez Canal transit, together with the slimmer deck just above on deck 6.

NO not open normally expect for a few voyages Panama etc

Nor is the nice small open deck in front of the Gym - that used to be open on both QV and QE now its locked off because of Twits climbing on the rail for selfies
