DRS/NC Posted February 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2019 I'm booked on the Caribbean Princess in Aug. I will be in a Handicap cabin for the first time. Can anyone advise me (from recent experience) as to whether I can expect a chair & small table in the cabin? [I get Room Service breakfast each day.] Will I have someplace to sit besides the bed, my rollator or the shower chair? Yes, I'll also post this on the Handicap Passengers' forum. tonit964 Posted February 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) My dad has cruised in C312 on the Crown and Ruby a few times. He said there is a desk and a chair at the desk that you will be able to sit and eat at. You will not have to sit on the bed or the shower chair. There are a few videos on YouTube of inside handicapped cabins on Princess sister ships. The cabin is very large with enough space to maneuver your wheelchair/scooter. I hope that helps. Enjoy your cruise. Edited February 9, 2019 by tonit964 added info
DRS/NC Posted February 9, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted February 9, 2019 Thanks! I'm hoping to learn if there is an "arm" chair -- the barrel back chairs found in other cabins (until recently).
San Diego Ellie Posted February 10, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2019 Just off Caribbean Princess, and there was one, along with the small round table, in accessible inside cabin L248. I would imagine C312 would be the same.
DRS/NC Posted February 10, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted February 10, 2019 San Diego Ellie -- thank you for that info! Hope it doesn't change by Aug.!
DRS/NC Posted September 13, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted September 13, 2019 UPDATE: In C312, I had a small round table but no"arm" chair -- only the desk chair. It was sufficient for breakfast. That cabin was big & good for both my rollator & scooter.
