Venice Port Shuttle

Are you embarking (or disembarking) the ship there, or just in port for a day?  Reason I ask is that if you're simply on a port call, there is another option, although the People Mover is still probably the easiest way to get from P Roma to the ship.  Also, are you there on a Sunday?  When we were there, the People Mover hours were a little limited - maybe no service after 6 PM?  I've read that there's often a walk between where the People Mover drops and the ship, but of course, this depends a lot on what berth the ship is assigned to on any given port call.  If the walk is long and you have bulky luggage, you may want to purchase a Viking transfer to make the walk easier.

Very occasionally, Viking has docked next to the San Basilio ACTV water vaporetto stop.  If the ship is assigned there, you would need to get from P Roma to San Basilio via water taxi or other means.

The shuttles are normally offered/available when Viking is calling on a port, not embarking/disembarking.

Enjoy Venice.  We loved it.
