Rare A&L_Ont Posted February 17, 2019 #227 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Some paper straws are not as good as others. Royals suck, figuratively and literally. 2

My question, having not be on Adventure before, which pool is this? Where are the people? All too busy hogging or finding chairs? Yikes, I'm a bit concerned about it stressing me out to find a chair or two for our family of four next month.

Rare A&L_Ont Posted February 17, 2019 #230 Share Posted February 17, 2019 (edited) Robyn, this one is for you, especially since you love trunks. It was a great keepsake of our trip to Paris. It’s from “The Mother Ship”. It’s a numbered print, 31 of 101. The photo was taken in 1978, on LV’s 125 Anniversary of their Champs Élysées Location. The photographer was Jacques Henri Lartigue a renouned Frenchman who passed in 1986. The last of my transgressions. Maybe you and Lisa are meant to meet. 🤔 Edited February 17, 2019 by A&L_Ont

The pool was very cold early this morning, so that’s why it was empty. It’s packed now.

Cel_cruise Posted February 17, 2019 #233 Share Posted February 17, 2019 A few years ago my family was on Navigator during Easter / Spring break and we managed to find chairs at the pool whenever we needed to - not always 4 chairs but enough to be close enough to the pool for the kids to be in it. There were always plenty of chairs on the upper deck - which is great for sunning but bad for swimming or watching kids!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Now please, continue with the photos of drinks, food, and fun. Jealous back here at home.

No mention of missing the stop. I am sailing on Jewel this week. We docked at Labadee this morning at 8:00 and spent the morning swimming at Columbus Cove. Just got back on the ship; I had to get out of the sun. We set sail for a day at sea at 5:00 p.m. All was well in Labadee. I hope you all have a great day there too! ckrobyn Posted February 17, 2019 Author #239 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Here’s the pool right now. On Oasis and Allure it was always walk to wall people. The pool was very busy earlier but still swimmable. Can you tell I’m a pool person? This is where you’ll find me on sea days....😎

Lady Hudson Posted February 17, 2019 #241 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Yes, I know that many are changing to paper and I do understand the reasoning. Just wondering if this will eventually change back - - just like the proposed changes to light bulbs by Congress a few years ago. That never became reality as far as I know. Whatever — we will all adjust if need be. Enjoying Robin’s posts this week just like Mr Funinthesuns posts last week. Thank you to all who post and keep Cruise Critic going. I am trying to stay away from that other site so CC continues to thrive.

Labadee is Eastern time, but the rest of the cruise is Atlantic. Since Labadee is controlled by Royal, it makes sense to change the time right away.

Gotta go watch the sexiest man contest 😂 The best picture we got of Cuba as we sailed by. You will notice a lot of white buildings, which seem to be a resort area. For the person who asked about the coffee punch cards, they did have them for sale, and only one size of iced coffee beverage. We also enjoy the Royal Refreshment package. ☕

Was on Anthem last month for 20 days and got tired of the straws falling apart in my drink. Also, if a can of soda is not cold enough the whole thing will start foaming over with the paper straw. Trust me on this one. My solution — just purchased a bunch of individually wrapped plastic straws from Amazon. Will bring some with me whenever I sail. I trust that Royal will be able to dispose of them properly when the straws end up in the trash. Remember that Royal has trash folks who sort through everything. Hope this is a good solution. As long as the person carrying them deposits them in the garbage, I have no issues with it. As we walked along the promenade on deck 4, I saw black straws rolling on the deck. I picked them up before they could go in the water.
