rbslos18 Posted February 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2019 Our cruise arrives in LA on January 2 in the morning. Our flight is at 11:00PM from LAX. Any suggestions on how to handle sightseeing and luggage? Should we get a hotel for a day and use it as a base? Thanks... RB
wheezedr Posted February 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2019 No need for a hotel but LA is a vast area so you should decide in advance what you are most interested in seeing. The easiest way around in LA is to rent a car. That should cover your luggage storage and will allow you to end up at the airport. My preference would be to stay toward the west side which would include, Santa Monica, Venice beach area. If you are Museum oriented you could include the Getty as well. Bruin Steve Posted February 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2019 (edited) Agreed that renting a car gives you the most options and flexibility... If you don't want to rent a car, another option would be to book a tour with Sunseeker Tours: https://sunseekertours.com/ For $149 pp, they'll pick you up at the pier, give you an 8 hour tour of LA...and drop you and your luggage off at LAX...but, obviously, with still a lot of time left before your flight...but, at least it would have taken up a lot of that extra time... firefightermediclasvegas Posted February 27, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2019 There are some great places to visit in LA for the day - museums, Hollywood, beach, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Beverly Hills. I agree to rent a car for the day.

Have booked with SunSeekers in the past. Were very pleased with their service. Edited February 28, 2019 by KreinKrunker
