Large group planning...

We have a large group of 26, traveling in late May, with 10 teenagers & 2 elderly with limited mobility.  So planning ahead for our stop in Cozumel.

First, instead of parties of 4 in each taxi, is there a large bus/van option at the taxi stand at the pier?

Second, lots of options in beach, snorkel, etc. places, maybe Chankanaab is good compromise to fit the teenagers, snorkelers, elderlies' needs/interests, at a reasonable cost?

Suggestions...?

There are van taxis that hold up to 8 people.  Down to Chank, that would be around $24 per taxi each way for the van taxi. 

Chank has an admission fee of around $25 per person, but there are discount coupons on their website.

Playa Mia, Mr. Sanchos, Paradise Beach, Carlos n Charlies, Playa San Francisco are all on the general vicinity, but have lower costs of entry if you don't take their AI options,. CnC and PSF are/were strictly paygo, no entry fee just buy food and drink up to $10 pp. easy to do.  All water toys, parasailing, jet skis etc. are optional pricings at these locations.

Thanks Crew, for your input & suggs.  Looks like Carlos n Charlies will fit the bill.  We're familiar with the others, but not CnC yet.  We'll try to get the 8 person vans, if bigger bus is not avail.

The taxi expedited will likely split your group up into multiple van-taxis.  I have not seen anything big enough for 24 unless it was booked for a group tour.

 

Bring some small bills - cab drivers all over the world, including Cozumel, never seen to have change when you pull out some $20 bills.
