RoperDK Posted February 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2019 We have been on Oasis out of Port Canaveral twice. Each time we had starboard side cabins and they were on the docked side of the ship. We are on Harmony once she moves to PC. Will Harmony be docked on the starboard side, also? Thanks in advance! Rare A&L_Ont Posted February 20, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2019 Typically all Oasis Class ships dock, as well as embark/disembark on the Starboard side. They are designed that way to handle more guests. Once a month they will disembark/embark on the port side to test the starboard side tenders. 1
bandjwayne Posted February 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2019 We were on a Eastern Caribbean cruise on Harmony 2 weeks ago. Just like the above poster mentioned, we embarked/disembarked on the Starboard side each time.
RoperDK Posted February 21, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted February 21, 2019 Glad to hear Harmony will be the same as Oasis. We have a starboard side cabin. We like to people watch from the balcony.
Valiamo Posted February 21, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2019 Just spend 2 weeks on the Harmony. We boarded on the Port side (unusual), and we were on the starboard side for all of the other ports (Labadee, Jamaica, Cozumel, San Juan and St. Maarten). 2nd week in Fort Lauderdale they docked on the Starboard side, and the last time we docked on the Port side. But it does depend on the activities that are happening on the ship. If they have a planned crew exercise and need to use the lifeboats on one side or the other, they will dock on the opposite side.
