McFins Posted February 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2019 Seems like the NCL Dawn could be tendering in both of these ports next September. Does anyone know how far away from the dock the ships usually anchor in these ports (ie how long does it take to get to the dock). Also do either of these ports use ferries or do they use the ships lifeboats? Many thanks
FredZiffle Posted February 24, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2019 We docked at both locations on the Jade in 2017. Are there too many other ships in port when you're there, or have you already been told to expect tendering?
Northern Aurora Posted February 24, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2019 We've been to Charlottetown twice, and to Sydney four times, but never on a NCL ship. The ships we were on docked, and I've never seen a tender operation at either port (ie, we were docked but another ship was tendering). Does your itinerary have your ship tendering? McFins Posted February 25, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted February 25, 2019 Yes, the port schedule shows that we would tender in Charlottestown (too many ships to dock). I dont see the schedule for Sydney yet but it is noted as a potential port that we would tender.
mets123 Posted February 27, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2019 I was on the NCL Jewel a few years ago in Sydney and it was port stop, not a tender.
