nt13 Posted February 25, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2019 We will be sailing this year with our 8 year old daughter and soon to be 12 year old tween son. On NCL, our son would be in the Dolphins ages 10-12, but on RCI and Carnival he would be in the 12-14 teen program. We'd prefer to sail on NCL, but I am considering that he might be happier being in the teen program on RCI or Carnival, as opposed to the 10-12 year olds on NCL and that could make a difference for our trip since my husband and I would love to have a few nights to ourselves and have the kids have fun. Does anyone have any input as to sailing at this in-between age with NCL Dolphins vs. the other teen programs? Thank you!
cb at sea Posted February 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2019 Both will have age appropriate activities. Kids do seem to enjoy the RCI product.
mjkacmom Posted February 27, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2019 I’ve had tweens on DCL and NCL, none liked them (all loved the younger groups and the teen clubs). However, on NCL we let our 12 year olds go up to the sports deck, ropes course, etc., or stay in the cabin, instead of the club.
