Are there any hotels near the port that allow you to leave your car while on the cruise?

How many people are you and what is the the exact date you need a hotel?

There are a number of package options.

trinityreservations.com offers several hotels with parking and port transportation and quotes tax included.

Other packages offer hotels and parking but do not quote tax included and separately quote for port transportation.

Embassy Suites and Country Inns offer packages with parking and port transportation, but quotes do not include tax.

You might also consider parking at the port...so check out your pricing options taking everything into consideration.

I personally would avoid Country Inn & Suites...very disappointed with this hotel on our last pre-cruise.

There are 8 of us, so two rooms.  July 3

OK - so your best deal is through trinityreservations.com at the Ramada.  Each room is $250 tax included for 2 Double beds, round trip port transportation for 4, and 21 days parking.

If you require queen beds or a king and sleep sofa, your price is going to go up dramatically to over $400 at Country Inns or Embassy Suites because there is an extra charge for the transportation for the 2 extra people. Trinity offers Springhill Suites for $340 tax included, which has either a king and a sofa bed or 2 Doubles, 14 days parking, round trip port transportation, and free breakfast.  You would have to contact Trinity to see if you can request a king and sofa bed.

Along similar lines as the OP, we are looking for a hotel in proximity to the Newark Airport and Cape Liberty Cruise Port with the ability to leave our car for 17 nights.  We will need transportation from a Newark hotel to the Cape Liberty Cruise Port and then, upon return, from the Newark Airport to the Newark hotel.

How far is it from the Newark Airport to the Cape Liberty Cruise Port (both in mileage and in approximate minutes)?  What can we expect to pay for transportation from the hotel to the cruise port and then from the airport back to the same hotel?

Our trip details are as follows:

Number of people:  2 (adults)

Ship:  RCCL Anthem of the Seas

Arrive via personal vehicle at Newark hotel:  4-11-20  to 4-12-20 (1 night pre-cruise)

Dates for car to be parked at Newark hotel:  4-11-20 to 4-28-20

Sail dates:  4-12-20 to 4-24-20 (12 nights)

Post-cruise stay in London:  4-24-20 to 4-27-20 (3 nights)

Arrive from Heathrow Airport to Newark Airport:  4-27-20 (mid-afternoon)

Stay in Newark hotel:  4-27-20 to 4-28-20 (1 night post-cruise)

Newark hotel budget:  flexible

Thank you in advance to all of you east coast departure experts!

Your most reasonable option will be through trinityreservations.com at the Ramada Plaza.  However, it’s very early for them to have rates for next April on their website.  This year the cost is $227 tax included for a hotel room, 21 days parking and round trip transportation to Cape Liberty.  I realize you are only going one way to Cape Liberty, but I’m sure this will be the best overall deal for 17 nights.  Go onto their web site and email them.  Bruce is very nice to deal with and he can tell you when they will have the 2020 rates available.

Cost of parking for 17 days is a big ticket item here along with the hotel.  Even if you could find parking for $10/day, your hotel would run at least $100-$150 and Uber to the port another $30-40.  These are very conservative prices that you would have to really search around to find.  Newark is an area where you need to be selective when you ditch your car while cruising.

When you return you will take the free Airtrain from the terminal to connect with the hotel shuttle at the P4 Airtrain Station.

I have used the Ramada package through trinity for 12 days and was very happy with it.
