Carnival Magic Deck 6 Noise

Good day - looking for some feedback from those who have been on Carnival Magic Deck 6.  With two large teenage boys we have started booking connecting inside cabins for the extra space and washroom.   Connecting insides seem to be scarce on the Magic.   We’ve booked interior cabins 6377 and 6379 which appear to be above the casino and casino bar.  The post I’ve found via the search function seem to primarily discuss cabins above the theatre or balcony’s.

Would love tohear from past cruisers who sailed in the vicinity of these cabins and their thoughts with respect to noise.

Thanks in advance.

Noise makers on deck 5 are the casino band, the piano bar, the comedy club, and the outside hot tubs.  Avoid deck 6 aft (comedy club) and the starboard deck 6 side above the band and piano bar.  On the port side, just don't be directly above the hot tubs.

If the OP doesn't go to bed until 1AM, then none of this matters.

There is no Deck 5 casino band on the Dream Class. The band, with a dance floor, is about another 100 feet aft in the Ocean Plaza

Thank you fact checking my response.

I was probably mixing up the Conquest class deck 5 layout instead of the Magic.  Appreciate the correction!

Oh gosh, this is my exact worry 😳...and I'm NOT a worrier over details like this, typically.  But this is kinda stressing me out.  We're in 6310 on Magic and I didn't think a thing about it when we booked the room until I saw a video someone posted from that same room on a vlog...and RIGHT out the balcony was a hot tub and it was packed with very happy people.   So now I'm a little concerned.  I tried to move my room with Carnival but was told that I'd have to pay an upgrade to another deck as the only available rooms in our category are in even less ideal locations, bummer.

Did the video of the packed hot tub look like it was taken at night (say between 10PM and 5AM) at a time when many people typically might be trying to sleep? Or was the video taken in daylight?

It was taken in daylight, I have no idea how busy they are at night.  But my concerns aren't just with sleeping hours...it's also the privacy aspect of the balcony.  It seemed you could practically participate in conversation with the hot tubbers.

I can totally understand where a 2 dimensional video might give that impression.

I would be very leary of booking a cabin above a deck where all the night entertainment is. I usually book a cabin on a deck sandwiched between 2 cabin only decks. I know you did this to have adjoining cabins, but do they really need to be adjoining? Both of my daughters booked cruises with kids in a separate cabin next to them that were not adjoining and they were just fine. Carnival can configure your key card to open both doors.

I love cruise critic!  Just learned something new!  Thank you grandmarnnurse!  I didn't know they could configure your key cards to open 2 doors.

I never knew either, until my daughter informed me of this recently, as they did it. They booked one adult per cabin with kids, but will be in a cabin by themselves and kids in one cabin once they board, but asked Carnival to do this with their cards, and Carnival confirmed that they can do this.
