The best way to get from WDW to PC & then back from PC to MCO?

Recommended Posts

For our upcoming cruise on harmony of the seas leaving from Port Canaveral, right now we are planning to stay the night before at Walt Disney World. ( we are Disney Vacation Club members so you will not have to pay for a hotel room at night)

My question is what are some of the best and cheapest ways to get from Disney to Port Canaveral and conversely from Port Canaveral to airport in Orlando? Any  tips or advice and how  to handle these types of cruise  Transportation issues would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks in advance for the help!

I don't know if it's the cheapest but the two options we did were to schedule a mears private passenger van (there were 7 of us so it was more cost effective) to bring us from Universal to Port Canaveral.  Then after the cruise we got a one way car rental from the Port (they pick you up at the port and bring you to the car rental office nearby) and returned the car at the Orlando airport.

Florida boards discuss this daily.

We rented Avis at the Hilton near Disney Springs since needed a van.  Second rental going back to airport.  Partly this depends on rates you can get with various rental agencies and how many people you have.  And did this before Saratoga Springs instituted overnight parking fees.

I presume you are not driving. There are several limo services that do the WDW/Port route for your trip out to the port. (There should be several recommendations on the Ports of Call forums) Going from the port to MCO, I'd recommend doing the Ship's airport transfer service.

We are DVC members and always fly in the day before.  We take the magic express from the airport and then take it back to the airport the next morning.  Then we get on the first RCL bus to Port Canaveral.  Saves the cost of a rental car on 1st day.
