Best buys Tahiti, Bora Bora or Moorea.

Papeete Market- it's just a few blocks from the cruise terminal in Tahiti. Fun place to hang around and they have everything in the way of gifts and souvenirs (and pearls) at good prices. We found it better than Moorea and Bora Bora. Besides always seems like there is time to waste waiting to board the ship or for an evening flight after disembarkation. (And spend as much time as you can enjoying Bora Bora and Moorea and not shopping, because they are the best!)

What is it you want to buy?

Last year we found the little market adjacent to the pier in Bora Bora had the biggest selection and the best prices for inexpensive jewelry.

Moorea will also have stands set up for similar things.

The big market in Papeete has more spices and lotions.

I don't know. We were just at the Papeete market in December and bought all kinds of stocking stuffer/souvenir/handicraft/locally made type thingies.
