Scarlette Posted April 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2019 (edited) 11 Night Regal Princess out of Copenhagen 12 Night HAL Zuiderdam out of Copenhagen 12 Night Brilliance of the Seas out of Amsterdam We are planning a Baltic cruise this summer as a college graduation gift for my son. These are three itineraries that fit our calendar. We normally cruise Royal Caribbean and would pick Brilliance of Seas, but we have already been on her sister ship Serenade of the Seas, but thinking about trying something different. Are there some ports that are not to be missed? Which is the better itinerary? Edited April 2, 2019 by Scarlette
Rare Essiesmom Posted April 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2019 I think I would choose Brilliance for a couple of reasons: If you are spending a day or two in your departure port before or after the cruise, I would think the young adults might enjoy the sights of Amsterdam more. It has fewer ports than the HAL cruise, so more time to digest and decompress... and it goes into Stockholm while the Regal Princess cannot and it is an hour or more drive into Stockholm. Have you consulted the kids? EM
fluffybunny22 Posted April 2, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2019 I like the one that leaves out of Amsterdam because I love Amsterdam but I actually have the Sky Princess booked for June of next year as a graduation gift to my son.
Scarlette Posted April 2, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted April 2, 2019 Thank you for your replies. We will be able to arrive one day early, but must catch a flight home on the same day we debark the ship, so won't be able to spend too much time in Amsterdam. Is there big difference among the three ships? Looking for a ship that has activities for the young adults on sea days.
