Ultimate Ship Tour & Chefs Table on the Grand

I will be on the Grand Princess in August for an Alaska cruise.  I've heard about Chefs Table and Ultimate Ship Tour.  Sounds like something I would enjoy doing. I understand that is something that needs to be signed up for as soon as possible after you board the ship. I'm asking for anyone who has done these on the Grand to tell me what you thought of them.  Is each ship different or are they all pretty much the same?  I will be cruising with my parents. They are not interested in doing this.  Will signing up as ONE person lower my chances of being able to do either one? Any tips that can help me to be able to do them? Thank you in advance for your replies.

We did this on the Grand over a decade ago ( you get a ship cook book also) If there is no place to sign up on line before the sailing there will be tables set up on board for you to sign up as soon as you board.  Don't worry about being a single☺️ Check online first.
