Rare pyropoodle Posted April 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2019 sorry if this is a double post, I'm just seeing the news... https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/world/americas/cuba/article229341009.html "Travel to Cuba will now be limited to family visits, restricting those deemed as “veiled tourism,” said a high-ranking official who spoke on condition of anonymity. That could signal the end of cruises, which started to operate during the Obama years because of an expansion of the categories of travel allowed." we have a cruise booked for next year, so not sure what's going to happen with that. between graywater sanctions and travel restrictions, this quarter is looking iffy for carnival corp. anyone have any thoughts? xDisconnections Posted April 17, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2019 I’m curious as well. If the itinerary changes for my Nov cruise, I’m sure my retirement from Carnival will continue.
AmBear Posted April 17, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2019 (edited) From the Hill website,,,BY CHRIS MILLS RODRIGO - 04/17/19 02:52 PM EDT ,,,,, 'The Trump administration is imposing new restrictions on travel to Cuba, national security adviser John Bolton said Wednesday. "The Department of the Treasury will implement further regulatory changes to restrict non-family travel to Cuba," Bolton said at a speech in Miami to the Bay of Pigs veterans group on the 58th anniversary of the failed CIA-orchestrated invasion of the island in 1961. "These new measures will help steer Americans dollars away from the Cuban regime." ,,,,, Only says travel, so have to see what's going on!
