Travelcat2 Posted April 26, 2019 #26 Share Posted April 26, 2019 Blaming the Mariner may be shortsighted as the Executive Chef's, F&B Directors, etc. change ships and could be on your Voyager, Navigator or Explorer cruise. This is why I stress how important it is to let management know what is going on. Vladimir was on the Mariner before going to Explorer which is an example of what I've posted. I don't know Ricky so I can't really comment on that nor was he necessarily the problem - it could be the Dining Room Manager, Executive Chef, etc. We do have favorite F&B Directors (Daniella, Donald and Vladimir) but our favorite Executive Chef is now working at corporate. All I can say is that, in our 33 cruises, we have only had food issues on one cruise and, unfortunately, it was on Mariner (but I did not blame the ship and sailed on her only a couple of months after the issues and the food, service, etc. was perfect - as it should be!). Bellaggio Cruisers Posted April 26, 2019 #27 Share Posted April 26, 2019 (edited) We love Vladimir! He is one of the best Regent offers! Equally matched with Daniella! Sheila and Herb Edited April 26, 2019 by Bellaggio Cruisers
briar14 Posted April 26, 2019 #28 Share Posted April 26, 2019 Our Australia Circumnavigation cruise in December and January on Mariner was pretty close to perfect, in our opinion. Two senior staff we credited with providing us with this wonderful experience were Michael Coghlan and Vladimir Cavic. After many Regent cruises, all very good, this one stood out. The entire crew exceeded our expectations!
