Walking to 17th st water taxi

It might be possible/practical if the ship is at Pier 2 (the main Princess pier), but it depends on the day and how many other Princess ships are in port.  You can check the Port Everglades schedule a week or so ahead of the cruise and then you will know the assigned Pier.

We like to walk when it's possible. Has anyone walked from where the Caribbean Princess docks in Fort Lauderdale

to pick up the water taxi on 17th Street?  Distance?  Thank you.

If it docks at terminals 2 or 4 it is a short and easy walk to the Hilton and the water taxi stop under the 17th street bridge.  While #2 is the principal Princess terminal, if the Regal or Royal are also in port, they usually get priority and other Princess ships are relegated to docks (often #21) much further away and Port Everglades is not conducive to pedestrian traffic.  Check out the port map at www.porteverglades.net.
