Hi,

i was on the first antarctica cruise on the cloud ( was cancelled after 4 days)

i am looking to do the antarctica again, but the cloud is quickly sold out.

another option is the explorer, but i do not like rough seas.

what are the comments here on the explorer ?

i suppose the difference in motion will be a lot ?

Explorer is much smaller than the Cloud.

the movement on the cloud in waves of 7 meter( 21ft ) was ok for me.

Best regards, uimmy

The Explorer is a favorite of ours. We have done four cruises on Explorer, and three on the Cloud before it was an expedition ship. We have also done four on Silver Wind, which is the same size as Cloud.

I find that motion is not bad on Explorer. Even a ship the size of Silver Cloud is pretty small, so I don't think there is a huge difference in motion. If the Explorer has a nice itinerary, go for it. We really like Explorer and would go on her again at any time. We have two upcoming cruises on Silver Cloud Expedition so we will be able to see how she handles in rougher waters.

Explorer is probably less fancy than Cloud but it's still pretty nice, in our experience.
