BOGO Dining Package

Recommended Posts

The BOGO Dining package reminds me of booking Guarantee Staterooms whereby Royal decides the dining venue which can be change on a first come first served basis based upon availability.

BOGO is a great deal and you can enjoy dining with your loved ones in a specialty restaurant.

For our upcoming cruise i got the BOGO for $80 for 3 using the $50 OBC so it works out well for us. Last year on the Brilliance we went to Chops and Giovanni's. I do not mind going to Giovanni's the first night and Chop's on the second night.

I already know what to get at Giovanni's and Chops.

My go to selections at Giovanni's

Antipasti per Due

Ossobucco

Caprese Salad

Gnocchi

Tiramisu

At Chop's I go  with the fllowing:

French Onion Soup

Beef Carpaccio

Grilled 9 oz Fillet Mignon

Tater Tots, Idaho Baked Potato, Spinach

Chimcuri Sauce for the Steak

Red Velvet Cake with a side of ice cream for Dessert with an $8 Specialty Coffee!

Just be aware that if you are stuck at  a venue you do not like its best to find out early on Day 1 around 11 when you may have a chance to switch it but if not justgo ahead and make the best out of the package.

Remember you could always jut purchase Chops or another restaurant if you really wanted to eat there at the full cost. Or just add it online for a night after nights 1 and 2,

Many posters, myself included, are reporting that the BOGO dining package has disappeared from their Cruise Planners and has been replaced by a new dining package called Chops + 1, which is priced significantly higher per person per meal than the BOGO.

I always look at the price per person per meal when deciding whether or not to book a dining package and if it's more than I am willing to pay I keep checking the Cruise Planner for sales. Sometimes you can get a really good bargain. Last year, I got the BOGO at under $15 pppm, without using any OBC!
