otto68 Posted April 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2019 HI! I'm Silvia from Italy. I wolud like to know from who sailed on Veendam if this ship has good seakeeping abilities. Our stateroom is in the mid main deck but we suffer a little sea sickness and in the past we always sailed on larger ships....Thanks in advance! CruiserBruce Posted April 30, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2019 You are in a very good place if the seas are rough. The size of the ship matters very little. The ship has stabilizers. You don't mention where you are sailing. Some places roughness is more likely, and any ship will move with the seas.

colonialinnkeeper Posted May 1, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2019 Silvia, we were in that area last fall and had a brief early day stormy rain. Being in the center of the ship (and the lower you are) helps a great deal with motion. We didn't find it very rocky. Captains use speed, wind direction, stabilizers to keep passengers as comfortable as possible in stormy weather. Have a wonderful adventure.
