Shore excursions

Just wondering if there is any rules as to what to wear on shore excursions.

I would  just like to wear blue jeans and maybe a sweat shirt with a hoodie.

No rules.  Just apply common sense.  Don't wear an overcoat, boots and gloves in the Caribbean.  Don't wear a skimpy swimsuit in Antarctica.

Just dress accordingly as you would when walking out your front door in the morning.

i did the turtle  snorkel and beach swim in a tux........i was sssooo over dressed

There may be some rules depending on where the trip is going.  If there are any special requirements then this will be listed in the tour information.  The main thing would be if the trip visits a religious building where you may not be allowed in if there is too much skin on show.

some nations do not allow camo pattern because it is reserved for LEO ,s

Additional solid advice indeed!  Don't wear a camo bikini to antarctica and don't wear camo boots, gloves and overcoat to the caribbean.  It's probably OK in  NewJoisey and Ms. Zippy though.

 

123 Scooter:  The best consideration might be  pickpocket proof pants and don't try to show off or wear your expensive jewelry.

BTW:  Where are you going?   Might be easier to offer more applicable advice with a destination.

Also:  Probably not such a good idea to wear camo on board one of the Cunard Queens.

I'm sure that a camo bikini or speedo in Alaska will be quite OK if you so choose.

 

FWIW:  I am a certified 'Polar Bear' after a short dip in the arctic ocean (au natural).  You may be overdressed if you wear swimwear.  However, it's all up to you.

Men: Be aware of the shrinkage factor!  Nothing to see here folks.  Just move along.

Alaska has a climate that can change in a minute. When I went on a cruise there, we wore shorts, light dresses, heavy pants and parkas, sandals and snow boots! All in one week. I would suggest layers. Some days will be sunny and warm, others cold and rainy. When we visited Mendenhall Glacier, one woman was wearing high heeled sandals! She couldn't leave the path to see the ice. Just use common sense and watch the weather report on your tv in the morning so you can decide what is appropriate for that day. Have a great time - Alaska is absolutely beautiful.
