Mariner July 2019 - Entertainment

Hello. Will be on the Regent Mariner in July cruising Alaska. Is there a way to find out what the evening entertainment will be and the cruise director? Many thanks.

Entertainment is generally not known in advance.  If someone special will be onboard, it would show up on the Regent website (along with lecturers) under your cruise.  Since Alaska cruises are so port intensive, they may not bring on much entertainment other than the "Regent Signature Orchestra, singers and dancers".

 

In terms of CD, it is a crap shoot this year.  Even CD's that are scheduled tend to be moved to other cruises (all in preparation for the Splendor launch next year).

 

Wish that I could be of more help but, as I said, this year is a bit unusual.

Hi travel cat it has been awhile miss contacting with you. I have tried to figure out on the Regent website to find out who is the CD, and F and B and GM  as well as the before dinner  entertainment dancing people are as in Boogie and Cassia or Natures Rhythm for our upcoming trips

Don't find the website so friendly but clearly not using it correctly  Can you walk me through it

It is not that you can't find it; It is just not there. Sorry. The information your are looking for as far as staff and entertainment has never been on the RSSC website. Best solution is to post your question again a few weeks before your cruise and maybe someone who is currently on the ship can find out for you.

Hi Sandy - good to see you on CC.  Agree with last poster about the information not being on the website.  

 

You may try posting on one of the two current Mariner "live" threads.  Perhaps they could ask the CD who will be replacing him/her (and when).  That would likely be the most accurate.  And, whomever is currently entertaining on the ship currently may still be onboard in July since their contracts are fairly long.

Apparently the cruise is over so it is no longer "live".  Those Alaska cruises are short so they are not "live" for very long.  

I do know that John Barron (favorite CD) and Massimo (GM) are currently on Explorer so you can count them out.  

 

If I learn or see anything, I'll post it here.

Not sure if the current staff will be the same as our cruise, but in May 10 day Alaska cruise, Margaret Lynn was CD and Elda (possibly incorrectly spelt) and Marla was social hostess. A great team and plenty live music in Horizon lounge in evening. 

This may not still be the same team now .    Jean.

Cruise Director's contracts are for 3 months so there has likely been a change.

We just got off of the Mariner last Saturday (July 13). The Social Hostess was Tammy and the Cruise Director was Andy. Elda was onboard as was Elizabeth (shopping consultant).

Good information!  So, CD Andy should be on the ship until approximately October 13th!
