Opening Balcony Dividers on a 3 day Cruise- Mariner

Does anyone have any experience one way or the other as to whether they will open the balcony dividers on a 3 day cruise?   It will be of the Mariner.

Really depends on the Captain, we have had them opened on several ships including Mariner, but refused on others, really no way of knowing till you ask onboard

Don't see why not,  unless they are one of the aft facing balconies.

Thought maybe they don't want to bother with it on the short trips

The only thing that comes to mind is that Navigator and Mariner were the first Royal ships with the balconies outside the hull, and the part of the balcony that opens might not stay secured as well as on later ships.  In other words, they might refuse for safety reasons.

We were on a 3 night and they were opened for us wo any issues, nice openings that does make it feel like one long balcony.
