November Transatlantic

Recommended Posts

Thinking about going on Explorer in November 2020 from Rome to Miami. Can someone share what the weather should be once we get out of the  Mediterranean, across the ocean to Miami. Have taken Southampton to NY, but want to know if it will be warm enough to sit outside by the pool.

Probably a little warmer on that route than the one from Southampton to NY.  You should anticipate temperatures in the mid 60s.  So, if it’s sunny and you’re out of the wind it ought to be quite pleasant to lounge around the pool.

Weather varies.  We've done this about a half-dozen times.  Sometimes it's around 70 and sunny, other times it can rain and be overcast almost the entire trip.  Motion has been constant, varying between mild and moderate.

We’ve done Southampton to Fort Lauderdale in November, on Indy. The first couple of days were rough, and outside decks were closed. My littlest had his birthday on the fourth day, and all he wanted was to go to the splash pad. The outside decks were open by then, and he had a blast (though it was chilly for the adults), and we also ate on our balcony that day. That day was the turning point, and it got noticeably warmer every day.

We took a TA on Celebrity Equinox leaving Rome on 30 November.  Seas were rougher in the Med than they were crossing the "pond."  Hurricane season is over, and if they take a Southerly route, there should be no problems.

We have always had good weather but it depends on what your stops are Azores vs Canaries.  Azores will be cooler Canaries warmer also do you have any Caribbean stops?

We have done 4 and the only cool one was West to East.   Will only be  doing trip from Europe from now on!

The southern route will likely be sunny and warm during the crossing.  We've taken two TA's along this route in November and both were lovely in terms of the weather.  Hope you enjoy the same!

I am doing the Barcelona to Tampa with stops in the Caneries and Coco Cay on Rhapsody this coming November. Keeping my fingers crossed for good weather. On my 2 east bound TA's the weather was great on one and horrible on the other.
