Cruise insurance, Cancer specific

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a 'pre existing waiver period'? 

It probably isn't any different in principle but all cancers seem to be lumped together in the theory that you are about to die any minute, so a company that bothers to ask the relevant questions is more likely to give you the cover needed.

If you read the above thread you will see that so many big name companies will not cover cancer, hence the request for cancer specific.
