mama_2_boys Posted June 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2019 I've been looking at Paradise Beach but taxi alone for 5 of us would be $200 round trip. Is there not a cheaper way to do the beach for a family of 5?
JohninDC Posted June 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2019 $200! Nope, the common $16-17 fare covers up to 4 passengers sharing the cab; for a larger cab carrying 5-6 passengers expect to pay $22-24 each way. The cab fare works out to $4-5 per person each way with your group. So $45+ found trip for the cab and $3 each admission/chair rental. You can save a few bucks on the cab fare by instead going to the Money Bar, and there's no admission fee but also no pool or Sandy beach - you enter the water via steps.

But remember even at PB they kinda "urge" you to spend at least $10 on food and drink and all the water toy passes are extra. With young kids, I would NOT venture to Money Bar or Sky Reef, unless all are very much into snorkeling and wearing watershoes.
