wanderlust8888 Posted June 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2019 Hi. We have already sent our passport info to this synagogue and they have acknowledged receipt. But despite repeatedly asking they have not advised us what time the Friday night service is on July 26. Does anyone know what time Friday night services take place during the summer there?? This is very frustrating. Appreciate any help, thanks!
homeinboca Posted June 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2019 I would contact the local Chabad - I would think they would be much more responsive.
riffatsea Posted June 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2019 Wouldn't it be around sundown when you would first light shabbat candles?? It's easy to find sundown times on line: Google says it is at 8:35.

Riff, your suggestion is a great idea, but my local synagogue does not change the time of Friday evening services throughout the year to match sundown. Services begin the same time (7:30 p.m.) all year round.
riffatsea Posted June 16, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 16, 2019 I am sure you are right that they don't change the time of services each week! Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
riffatsea Posted June 16, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 16, 2019 Have you tried asking on the Rome forum on Trip Advisor? Some of the folks who post there live in Rome and could just call and ask for you. Here is a link: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g187791-i22-Rome_Lazio.html You may not realize that Trip Advisor has forums for every city in the world where folks who live in them or who visit frequently answer questions. Sometimes you need more help than what cruisers can provide.
