Changing guest in a cabin

We are due to cruise on Monday.  My mother was admitted to the hospital yesterday with an ulcer and won't be able to travel.  We did not buy the insurance.  Please do not scold me about that one.  Can we take my mother off the reservation and add a different person?  I will call Carnival in a bit, but thought I'd ask here first.

Yes, if you did not book Early Saver.  Early Saver is not supposed to allow this, but some have reported they have done it for a fee.  Good Luck.  EM

How can I tell if I booked Early Saver?  I really Cann't remember if I did or not.
